This position may be located in Moline or Chicago, IL per the hiring manager's discretion. This may be dependent on the successful candidate's background, experience, and proficiency. 

As a Data & Analytics Engineer for the John Deere Enterprise, you will join our global IT Data & Analytics team.  You will get the opportunity to work on large-scale global applications in a Fortune 500 company that is regularly ranked among the best companies to work for in the country.   • Collaborate with other software engineers and analysts to drive design, and development within Data & Analytics (D&A) Suites of Apps to meet the requirements and demands of our manufacturing and supply chain function globally.
  • Contribute to technical analysis and design of solutions to improve quality, and performance.
  • Lead root cause analysis and resolution of production support issues.
  • Provide technical guidance on DevOps-related tasks, activities, and initiatives.

What Skills You Need:

  • 5+ years experience in design, development, testing and integration of high complex Data & Analytics software solutions, from creating data products to analytics applications, using ETL tools and web development technologies.
  • 4+ years of varied database experience (HANA, Spark, DB2, Mongo, Oracle, MySQL or similar), data management, infrastructure capabilities, and data transformation.
  • 2+ years of experience in development/data migration in Cloud (AWS) environment (EDL, Databricks or similar).
  • 2+ years of experience in web development using Spring, Restful APIs and front end technologies.
  • 2+ years of experience leveraging DevSecOps and lean development principles (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery).
  • Experience working with full-stack design patterns and designing loosely coupled architectures.
  • Experience working with Test Driven Development, and Unit Test Frameworks.
  • Experience in an Agile/Scrum team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

What Makes You Stand Out:

  • Functional knowledge of one or more SAP modules and/or products (MM, PP, SD, QM).
  • Understanding of AWS Economies of scale while designing cloud hosted Big Data applications.
  • Exposure to system execution/quality monitoring tools (AppDynamics, Focus Run or Grafana).
  • Proven experience working in a fast-paced, team environment while managing competing priorities.


  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience in a related career field
