Your Responsibilities

 

As a Technical Content Developer for John Deere Expert Services located in Moline, IL, you will….

 

  • Research machine functional and operational characteristics to identify and develop inspection, maintenance, and repair procedures.
  • Lead and support technical content development by identifying, scoping, and facilitating work with appropriate authoring resources (internal and external).
  • Lead content quality initiatives by ensuring use of content development processes and completing content reviews.  
  • Support dealers utilizing technical repair applications and content.

What Skills You Need

 

  • Experience with technical information development or training
  • General knowledge of off-road agricultural and/or construction machines and functions
  • Ability to manage competing priorities through effective decision making
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and/or similar applications
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 10%.

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • Experience with go-to-market processes
  • Experience working with stakeholders from multiple business functions such as engineering, customer support, or product support
  • Experience as a service technician for off-road or automotive equipment
  • Experience working with external suppliers to complete work
  • Experience working in a global environment.

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience
