As a UX Software Engineer at John Deere in Moline, IL, you will join the Global IT User Experience team in delivering a successful Fuel Design System product. This position will play a critical role in the development and continuous improvement of "UX Frame," which is a front-end code accelerator that enables product teams to avoid time and costs associated with front end development, while also driving consistency across experiences. In addition, you will;

 

  • Create high-quality front-end code for consumption and reusability
  • Work closely with other parts of the company and end-users to ensure we are delivering a single-source of truth.
  • Continually improve the consumption process of UX Frame
  • Work with product teams on UX Frame coaching/pairing
  • Regularly work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Bootstrap, etc.
  • Regularly work with tools such as GitHub, AWS, Jenkins, Node, Yarn

What Skills You Need

  • 4 or more years of working with HTML, CSS and Javascript.
  • 3 or more years of working with React, Material UI, Bootstrap, or equivalent libraries.
  • 2 or more years creating high-quality front-end code for consumption and reusability.
  • 2 or more years of experience with Test Driven Development (TDD).
  • 1 or more years of Agile/Scrum experience, including the ability to build and execute on a product backlog.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience of working tools such as GitHub, AWS, Jenkins, Node, Yarn.
  • Experience creating UI web components for re-use across multiple web apps.
  • Working knowledge of customizing and integrating popular JS frameworks (Angular, React, and JQuery) into a product, solution, or portfolio.
  • Working knowledge of UI development for common enterprise platforms (SAP, PEGA, Sharepoint)
  • Working knowledge of common backend architecture and development practices.

Education

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent work experience in the following:

  • BS/BA Required (Information Technology, Computer Science, Digital Design)
