Your Responsibilities

 

As Tactical Sales Specialist for John Deere Ag Marketing Center in Olathe, KS you will analyze industry data and sales trends to ensure dealers are maintaining an adequate inventory position while identifying incentive leveraging opportunities to grow the business. In addition, you will:

  • Drive focused communication to ensure program execution.
  • Generate inventory lists and program reports to identify gaps for quick closure.
  • Serve as in-house subject matter expert for dealerships and field sales teams to contact for sales promotion and incentive program questions.
  • Assist in the development and coordination of sales projects as directed by Tactical Sales Manager.
  • Manage timelines, resources, and budgets relative to specific projects with appropriate feedback to managers, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Assist Territory Managers with in-field customer events such as open houses, product demonstrations, drive green events.

What Skills You Need

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt the message to various audiences
  • Skills in interpersonal communication, negotiations, and conflict resolution
  • Experience executing in a team environment
  • Experience in Ag or Turf equipment industry (operations, sales, engineering, or related field)
  • Experience creating and delivering effective presentations in front of groups
  • Experience with Microsoft office product
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 50%

  • Prior experience in a sales and marketing role
  • Experience with dealer/channel/distribution/end-user contact
  • Experience working on a cross-functional team

Education

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree
