Your Responsibilities

 

As a OFP Lifting Engineer for John Deere Ottumwa Works located in Ottumwa, IA, you will be responsible for facilitating and supporting the design, testing, implementation, auditing, and repair of lifting devices for manufacturing at the unit. In addition, you will.

 

  • Supporting the design and/or modification of Production tooling at the unit
  • In addition, this position is also responsible for the sustainment of Total Productive Maintenance initiatives within the unit.

 

Visa sponsorship is NOT available for this position.

What Skills You Need

 

  • 2 or more years of experience in design and development of lifting devices
  • 1 or more years of experience in design and development of production tooling
  • 1 or more years of experience in a tool room environment
  • 1 or more years of experience in using 3D modeling software, including print creation

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • Experience working with Excel, databases and data analysis
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
  • Experience working in a labor union environment
  • Experience working in a role required strong communication / facilitation skills in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with Creo 3D Modeling Software.

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline or an Associate’s degree with relevant work experience
