Title: Tax Specialist 
Primary Location: Mexico (MX) - Nuevo León 
Function: Accounting / Finance

Main responsibilities

Provides high level technical tax law assistance such as handling the more complex tax issues; performing complex tax analysis, research, and planning; and coordinating preparation of tax returns.

What Skills You Need

  • Coordinates and analyzes information required for preparation of tax returns or estimates and prepares the documents by the appropriate deadlines.
  • Interfaces with Tax Auditors and prepares responses to tax requirements and audits.
  • Provides general assistance on various tax issues and tax planning projects.
  • Coordinates and assists less senior Tax Analysts on tax returns and planning projects.
  • Coordinates and analyzes accounting information in order to complete various reports by appropriate deadlines and identifies any potential planning opportunities from the data submitted.
  • Researches and analyzes complex tax issues for both compliance and planning purposes using various sources including on-line systems.
  • Counsels various units and functional areas on tax matters.
  • Integrates new acquisitions into the Deere tax structure when appropriate.

Understands the global nature, various divisions, and related accounting functions of the enterprise.
Understanding of the business operations and the organizational structure.
Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office plus intranet and internet functions.
Ability to perform legal research using the internet plus various on-line tools and CD-ROM programs.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or equivalent.
Knowledge of tax law.


Master´s degree related to field or equivalent experience.

This position will be posted for a minimum of 7 business days and unposted when a qualified pool of candidates is achieved.

Candidates must have the necessary work permits to work in the country.
