Primary Location: New Zealand (NZ) - Bay of Plenty (NZ-BOP) - Rotorua 


We’re looking for a passionate, quick-minded trouble shooter to join our busy team as Service Technician.   You’ll be based out of our Rotorua Distribution Center, however your flexibility is essential as you’ll be required to travel extensively to support our customers where it matters most, in the forest! Carrying out repairs and maintenance on all Waratah products in the field or at our workshop, you’ll be happiest troubleshooting issues.

Our business has steadily grown over the last couple of years, therefore our team is growing to meet demands.  This role is initially for a 2 year fixed term as we confirm ongoing business needs, however the opportunity to move into a permanent role for the right candidate over this period is likely.  With this in mind, we will continue to work with and develop your knowledge and skills to ensure that you are set up for every success.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Investigating and resolving mechanical issues
  • Diagnosing and resolving electrical and hydraulic faults
  • Providing our customers with service support and technical information as required
  • Working with our engineering team on development projects

To be successful in this role you’ll need to:

  • Have a good understanding of computer, automation and hydraulic systems
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to quickly build effective relationships
  • Be self-driven and happy working out on your own, but also work well as part of our small professional close-knit team.
