Your Responsibilities

John Deere has been using high-precision vehicle positioning technology for its autonomy solutions for over 20+ years. This role will work with a group of RF and mechanical engineers to help develop the next generation GNSS and other positioning sensor technologies.

  • Lead RF front-end design for GNSS and other RF sensors
  • Define and measure communication link signals from terrestrial and satellite systems.
  • Specify and verify GNSS RF parameters to meet robust signal integrity through the RF chain
  • Support investigation of communication and positioning product RF spectrum field issues 

What Skills You Need

  • 10+ years RF system design experience from an antenna module to digitizing element
  • 10+ years experience defining signal link specifications
  • 7+ years experience with GNSS front end experience
  • 7+ years GNSS antenna design experience
  • 5+ years leading RF team

What Makes You Stand Out

  • GNSS RF Design Experience
  • Electromagnetic simulation experience
  • RF Test Equipment Experience (spectrum analyzer, network analyzer)
  • Antenna measurement Experience (anechoic chamber)


  • BS Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of product design experience [REQUIRED]
  • MS in Electrical Engineering or higher [Desired]
    • Fields and Waves or Electromagnetic Systems
    • Communication systems
