Your Responsibilities

 

As a Software Release and Automation Engineer for ISG-Torrance located in Torrance, CA, you will….
•    Manage and maintain the systems and processes to test, build, and release embedded software for GNSS products
•    Work with diverse cross-functional teams to apply automation to software test and release processes
•    Develop tools and other resources to streamline our software test and release processes
•    Develop best practices for using our tools to ensure we deliver consistently and with repeatable methods
 

What Skills You Need

•    3 years of professional scripting experience
•    2 years of administrative experience with GIT, TFS, or equivalent source control system
•    2 years of administrative experience with Azure DevOps (Team Foundation Server)
•    2 years managing a multi-platform development environment (ex: embedded systems, Linux, Windows, Azure DevOps, etc)
•    Experience with software build systems and continuous integration
•    2+ yrs of experience with full software development life cycle in a production environment

What Makes You Stand Out

•    Scripting language proficiency (ex: Python, VBS, Ruby, Bash, batch, etc)
•    Windows Server administration experience
•    Proficiency with C/C++
•    Understanding of Agile development principles
•    Understanding of Test Driven Development (TDD)
•    Experience with Embedded software development
•    Experience with compilers, linkers, and memory maps
•    Working knowledge of embedded operating systems, multitasking, IPCs, and memory management.

Education

  • Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: 
    •    Bachelor of Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
