Your Responsibilities

**Please Note:  This position can be located at either ISG locations in Urbandale, IA OR at the ADV Lab in Milan, IL .  ***

As a Digital Architect, for John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG) you will create and manage technical architectures for the Partnering Business Segment within ISG Digital Solutions. In addition you will:  

  • Define and implement application architectures for strategic business partners.
  • Define and implement integration architectures for external software providers.
  • Create or review API specifications for system interfaces.
  • Participate in PSI planning and other runway team activities.
  • Collaborate with Application Architects to ensure technical alignment across Digital Solutions.
  • Collaborate with Solutions Architects to create an integrated and scalable application portfolio.

What Skills You Need

  • 3+ years’ experience designing web and/or mobile software.
  • 5+ years total experience in Information Technology.
  • Experience in roles that required demonstration of excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated excellent presentation and meeting facilitation skills.

What Makes You Stand Out

Other areas of experience or interest that will help us place you on the right team include:

  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Experience with Agile software methods.
  • Experience with precision agriculture technology.
  • Experience with large agriculture partners, including manufacturers, seed and chemical providers, retailers, and/or software companies. 


Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent work experience in the following:                                                             

  • Bachelors of Arts/Science in Computer Science, Engineering or other relevant discipline.
