Your Responsibilities

As a Embedded Software Engineer for ISG located in Urbandale, IA, you will….

  • Work with other Deere units to commercialize perception solutions on platforms
  • Accelerate application opportunities that require a mix of image processing and machine learning
  • Focus on C++ software development for applications and integration of the advanced algorithm into the application software that runs on embedded hardware

What Skills You Need

  • 0-1+ years of professional or academic experience working with C++ or other Object-Oriented languages
  • 0-1+ years of professional or academic experience with software product development through practical work experiences, relevant internships or academic experience
  • Professional or academic experience in roles that required demonstration of excellent communication skills (verbal, written, listening and presentation)

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience developing Linux software applications
  • Experience applying Image processing, OpenCV, Matlab Image Processing Toolbox Applications, Machine Learning, Caffe, or TensorFlow
  • Experience programming in Embedded C software
  • Experience in scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash, etc.)
  • Experience or training with multi-threaded systems
  • Experience with UDP, TCP/IP,CAN networking communication protocols
  • Experience with SCRUM/Agile software development methodologies
  • Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and software test automation

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Science or Technology related discipline
