Function: Supply Management / Logistics
Title: Part-Time Student-Supply Management-Waterloo IA-Partial Remote - 85610 

Onsite/Remote: Partial Remote Position 


The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule year-round.



Your Responsibilities


  • Process MaSA (Material and Service Acquisition) tasks through reservations and purchase orders to interfactory units, Deere's Parts Distribution Center (PDC) or prototype suppliers
  • Collaborate with Material Flow and Supply Management Specialists at other John Deere units to fulfill MaSA requests
  • Track prototype parts to ensure arrival in time for builds and future testing
  • Work together with local warehouse and PDC teams to expedite urgent requests
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders


What Skills You Need


  • Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or Engineering Technology; others may apply
  • Must be a full-time student at a university or college local to the Waterloo/Cedar Falls Iowa area
  • If currently attending a community college, must be planning to pursue a 4-year degree
  • Graduation date of 2023 or later
  • Must be available to work a minimum of 12 months
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
  • Work 16-20 hours/week during the academic year
  • Work 35-40 hours/week during the summer semester
  • Able to commute to the work location as needed onsite with approved partial remote work accommodated
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to learn new computer systems
  • Ability to work in a virtual team environment
  • Ability to prioritize critical work tasks

  • An interest in working in a global supply management organization
  • Experience interacting with or representing your employer to outside companies
  • Advanced Excel experience
  • Working knowledge of Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) systems
