Title: Quality Engineer - 86056 

Onsite/Remote: Onsite Position 

Your Responsibilities:


As the Order fulfillment process Quality Engineer for John Deere, located in Waterloo, IA you will support the factory manufacturing operations to improve business performance. In addition, you will:


  • Provide tactical line support for production
  • Investigate product and process defects for root cause and corrective action recommendation
  • Support Development and Execution of OFP Quality Initiatives
  • Reinforce published policies and procedures
  • Support quality planning activities
  • Support introduction of new products and current product change control
  • Collect, analyze, and execute assembly control plans and data streams
  • Work with supplier quality for supplied part issues
  • Support external regulatory audit (ISO)

What skills are needed:


  • Effective communicator, who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment
  • Experience in the use of and applying quality tools such as FMEA (Failure Modes Effect Analysis), SPC (Statistical Process Control), and Root Cause Analysis
  • Experience in the use of manufacturing information systems. (SAP, W-planner/MPPlanner, 3D modeling)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and initiatives
  • Experience with formal NCCA (Non-Conformance Corrective Action) processes
  • Ability to work off shifts and weekends if needed

What makes you stand out:


  • Experience implementing change in a production environment through negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Controlled manufacturing process experience in manufacturing engineering, supply management, quality engineering, or operations
  • ASQ or Six Sigma Training or certifications
  • Experience using advanced quality tools aligned with ASQs Book of Knowledge
  • Experience with Ag equipment applications
  • Experience with Data Analytics tools (PowerBI, Tableau, SQL, etc.)



Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:


  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering/Technology or equivalent work experience
