This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.

Your Responsibilities

 

As a Senior Software Systems Engineer for John Deere located in Waterloo, Iowa, you will….

  • Develop, execute, and maintain model based systems engineering (MBSE) methodologies and processes
  • Provide training and guidance on these methodologies, processes, and tools
  • Support communication and delivery of the associated Systems Engineering artifacts for consumption by key stakeholders
  • Manage the life cycle of the Systems Engineering artifacts across product programs
  • Provide representation for JDPS team to Enterprise teams defining electrical architectures

What Skills You Need

​​​​​​

  • 5 or more years of experience in product design of electrical/electronic systems engineering, or software design
  • 3 or more years of experience in modeling complex systems in a system-modeling tool
  • Fundamental understanding of principles of Model Based Systems Engineering and associated tools (e.g. CAMEO, PREEvision)
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • Formal systems engineering education
  • 3 or more years of experience in managing system requirements
  • 3 or more years of experience in automotive, heavy-duty engine, or related control system development 

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Science or Technology related discipline
