Your Responsibilities

 

 

As a Staff Electronics Engineer located in Waterloo, Iowa, you will be working to design, develop and implement robust electrical architectures, planning out and guiding the electronics work necessary to meet the tractor program goals.  This will include electrical schematic creation and review, vehicle network system setup and management, vehicle power budget analysis, developing system requirements, reviewing subsystem interfaces, and analyzing complex issues to help troubleshoot issues at the factory, with field test site supervisors and PV&V., In addition, you will also be helping to implement the next evolution of security for our embedded systems on tractors.

 

What Skills You Need

 

  • 10+ yrs of Product Engineering experience in the design, development, or testing of equipment in the electrical/electronic domain
  • 7+ yrs of Experience in design and development of electrical/electronic systems to meet customer requirements including working with vehicle electrical schematics
  • 5+ yrs of Experience with electronic systems that include controllers, sensors and actuators
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communications skills, including good negotiation and issue resolution skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a global team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to understand multiple, complex requests and negotiate a mutually beneficial plan in a very dynamic environment
  • Knowledge in engineering principles, theory and practice as well as product knowledge
  • Experience with Enterprise Product Development Process (EPDP)

What Makes You Stand out

 

  • Formal training in System Engineering
  • Working knowledge of tractor electrical and electronic systems
  • Experience designing functionality that spans multiple electronic control units and software modules
  • Experience with agricultural vehicle applications
  • Working knowledge of vehicle networks and protocols (CAN, J1939, IOSBUS, etc.)
  • Experience in roles that require a working knowledge of engineering principles as they relate to the company product
  • Experience in wiring harness design
  • Experience with Agile methodologies

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
