Function: Marketing / Sales 

Onsite/Remote: Onsite Position

Your Responsibilities


As a Tactical Sales Specialist for John Deere Canada Agricultural and Turf Division located in Grimsby Ontario, you will focus on supporting the execution of the Canadian Region Sales and Marketing Initiatives.  In addition, you will:


  • Serve as in-house subject matter expert for dealerships and field sales teams to contact for sales promotion and incentive program questions
  • Drive focused communication to ensure program execution
  • Assist in the development and coordination of sales projects as directed by Tactical Sales Manager
  • Assist Territory Managers with TY coverage and in-field customer events such as open houses, product demonstrations, drive green events
  • Collaborate with business partners to develop, define, and execute sales related programs
  • Utilize data and analytics tools to generate leads, develop insights and monitor effectiveness of sales and marketing programs
  • Coordinate and manage timelines, resources, and accountability related to business with stakeholders to ensure content, deliverables, tactics, metrics, etc. are successfully executed
  • Actively participate in company training events and assist field teams and dealers with in-field customer events such as farm shows, training programs, sales programs, product demonstrations, etc.


What Skills You Need


  • Bilingual communication skills (English/French)
  • Understanding of farming and agronomic trends associated with agriculture
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and/or tasks
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% within Canada and occasionally to the US
  • Willingness and ability to relocate for future opportunities


What Skills Make You Stand Out

  • Agricultural field experience with regular customer contact
  • Knowledge of dealer/distribution network
  • Knowledge of products, customers and the Ag equipment business
  • Experience with equipment




Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:


  • University Degree in Agriculture, Business, Marketing, Engineering or related fields
  • College Diploma with 3-4 years relevant dealer/industry experience
