Deere & Company is seeking a Staff Software Engineer in Milan, IL with the following requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus 5 years related experience. Required skills: Generalized Specialist experience in the architecting and designing of medium to large-scale implementations based on business requirements (5 yrs); Mentoring and providing technical leadership to software engineering teams (5 yrs); Experience building and/or working with RESTful APIs and message broker-based technologies (5 yrs); AWS experience in using ECS, SQS, SNS, RDS, KMS, Lambda, CloudWatch and Elastic Search (5 yrs); Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies; Experience building backend applications using Java, Python and Spring Boot (web, hibernate, batch, JMS) (5 yrs); Experience with Continuous Integration and pipeline automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, Docker and Drone (5 yrs); Experience in IoT communication protocols using Google Protobuf (2 yrs); Experience in building web-client applications using React, Typescript, RTK (React Toolkit) and Vite (2 yrs); Experience in managing and using databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL and Oracle) (2 yrs). Up to 10% domestic travel required.
