Your Responsibilities

 

As a Engine Application Engineer for JD Waterloo Product Engineering Center located in Waterloo, IA, Davenport, IA Dubuque, IA, Or Des Moines, IA  you will...

 

  • Work with JDPS engine and Deere vehicle teams to successfully integrate JDPS engines into various internal vehicle platforms.
  • Negotiate and establish experimental, prototype, and production engine build schedules.
  • Ensure completion of partner application approval testing, and that program risks are fully assessed in alignment with Application Product Delivery Process (APDP) best practices.
  • Adhere to the established APDP process, as well as participation in activities designed to identify process gaps and subsequently establish and execute process improvement plans.

What Skills You Need

 

  • Two or more years professional experience in roles related to diesel engines and/or vehicle engine applications
  • Demonstrated skills in the communication of technical data and project information
  • Strong prioritization skills including ability manage frequent changes
  • Flexibility in dealing with changing and/or partial information while working with diverse teams
  • Excellent team skills including project leadership and schedule management
  • Strong problem-solving skills evidenced by prior work
  • Available to travel up to 10% of time both domestically and internationally

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • Experience with agricultural, construction, or roadbuilding production systems in an engineering, project management, or PV&V capacity
  • Diverse background in varied JDPS or vehicle functional areas (e.g. Controls, PV&V, CI, Manufacturing)
  • Engine application engineering or engine integration experience

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  • Degree in an Engineering / Technology discipline or equivalent experience
