The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.

Your Responsibilities

 

As a Part-Time Student Quality Engineer-Technical for John Deere Des Moines Works located in Ankeny, IA, you will...

 

  • Conduct weekly warranty reviews/analysis for Crop Care products
  • Work with warranty team to determine if action is required and drive resolution
  • Support Data Analysis Team (DAT) meetings with warranty data and Evidence Packages, Update SharePoint and Shared Drives 
  • Perform various analytical exercises that support Crop Care product teams and their efforts to reduce warranty

 

This position is not available to students on immigration visas.

What Skills You Need

 

  • Must be registered as a full-time student at an accredited university
  • Graduation date of May 2026 or later
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
  • 15-20 hours/week during the academic year
  • 35-40 hours/week during the summer semester
  • Willingness to learn John Deere warranty tools and systems
  • Ideally you will be pursuing a STEM degree; others may apply
