Duties

  • Design and Development: Design, develop, and implement IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Customization and Configuration: Customize and configure ServiceNow ITAM and CMDB applications, including asset discovery, asset tracking, contract management, software license compliance, and configuration item (CI) relationships.
  • Integration: Integrate ServiceNow ITAM and CMDB with other ServiceNow modules and third-party systems.
  • Development and Maintenance: Develop and maintain workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and other ServiceNow components.
  • Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring solutions align with business objectives.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform unit testing, system testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure quality and functionality.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for ITAM and CMDB-related issues.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for developed solutions.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow features, best practices, and industry trends related to ITAM and CMDB.

Required

  • Strong experience with ServiceNow development, including scripting (JavaScript), workflows, business rules, UI policies, and client scripts.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) solutions within ServiceNow.
  • Solid understanding of ITAM and CMDB processes and best practices.
  • Experience with ServiceNow ITAM and CMDB modules, including asset discovery, asset tracking, contract management, software license compliance, and CI relationships.
  • Integration experience with ServiceNow and third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with stakeholders and team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.

Desired

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and/or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – ITAM and/or CMDB.
  • Experience with other ServiceNow modules such as IT Service Management (ITSM)
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with ServiceNow reporting and dashboard creation.
  • Understanding of software asset management (SAM) and hardware asset management (HAM).
  • Experience with data migration and data transformation within ServiceNow.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6-7 years of experience in ServiceNow development and IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
