Your Responsibilities

 

  • As a Senior Software Engineer for John Deere in Chicago, IL, you will implement event driven, API driven, distributed, resilient, loosely coupled, and reliable products. In addition, you will:

 

  • Collaborate with other engineers, stakeholders, and at times external companies or customers to solve problems and build solutions;
  • Follow industry-standard agile software design methodologies;
  • Grow your own and help grow others technical talents.
  • Must live within normal commuting distance of the worksite. Up to 50% remote work allowed.

 

What Skills You Need

 

  • 5 years of experience using Dynatrace, splunk, or JVM for error forecasting, debugging frontend and backend including error monitoring, dashboarding various health metrics from applications and infrastructure
  • 3 years of experience working with distributed databases and infrastructure on the cloud including Apache Cassandra, Dynamo DB, Redis, Mongo DB, or Couch DB
  • 4 years of experience with system design and building highly available, client side as well as backend application including event driven, API driven, distributed, resilient, loosely coupled, and reliable products
  • 5 years of experience in working with platforms and applications built with reactive and asynchronous frameworks

 

Education/Experience

 

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or Engineering or related field plus 5 years related experience.
