The Opportunity
This is an opportunity for an experienced and motivated Credit Analyst. The successful applicant will have responsibility for-
- Underwriting, structures and managing credit risk and relationships that are medium to large, and sometimes complex in nature.
- Identifying opportunities for new business with new and existing customers and dealers to market credit products.
- Monitoring performance of borrowers and recommending and executing collection strategies.
- Preparing write-ups on large credit requests and resolving and negotiating sensitive issues related to transactions above authority.
- Assisting with problem solving, training, and mentoring of less experienced personnel.
- Preparing various reports and presentations for management on departmental metrics and industry trends that impact credit risks inherent in the portfolio.
- Providing support and assisting in digitalising the credit underwriting process utilising insourcing and external digital solutions.
About You
With a strong expertise in credit analysis, you are an energetic self-starter who is an excellent team player who takes pride in their work and their working environment.
What Skills You Need
- Sound skills in dealing with medium to large and complex dealer and retail customer structures and relationships
- Demonstrated financial analysis and financial modelling skills, including the ability to evaluate information, identify potential issues and draw conclusions
- Sound report and credit underwriting skills
- A strong customer service focus and have proven ability to understand a customer's business, performance and strategy, as well as understanding their long-term needs and how we can support them
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Experience in commercial finance.
