Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Facilities Engineer for John Deere Dubuque Works located in Dubuque, IA, you will provide engineering design and project management services related to the facility infrastructure, utilities, and processes that support the manufacturing and/or distribution operation. Projects are very complex and integrate all areas of engineering, requiring management of outside design professionals and contractors. In addition, you will:
- Provides electrical/mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance of the facility infrastructure and production equipment.
- Provides life, safety and National Electric Code (NEC) analysis and supports and implements the Electrical SafeWork Practices program within the organization to prevent injuries and illnesses. Assists in the identification and resolution of potential environmental, safety, ergonomic and health hazards.

What Skills You Need
- 10 or more years background in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, power systems, etc.)
- Knowledge of construction products, process, and facilities design.
- Knowledge of NEC and National Fire Protection Association Code( NFPA), safety, quality and environmental laws, regulations and goals.
- Knowledge of contract management, building codes and Supply Management Strategies.
What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience in Project management and business planning. - Large strategic projects that are complex or projects that involve sensitive topics.
- Experience with medium voltage electrical distribution systems.
- Experience with factory automation and controls systems (BAS, PLC, IoT).
- Experience with computer aided design and/or engineering tools.
- Experience with fire protections systems.
- Experience with HVAC systems.
- Experience with wage supervision.
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent related work experience.
