Your Responsibilities

 

As a John Deere Dealer Operations(JDDO) - Sales Engineer for John Deere Information Systems (John Deere Sales & Marketing Operations – JDSMO) located in East Moline, IL or Olathe, KS you will...

 

  • Learn, understand, and strive for expertise on the JDSMO Product to create awareness, facilitate understanding, drive sales and adoption through demonstrations of the solution
  • Establish and maintain effective dealer relationships by understanding their unique needs to demonstrate value and efficiencies within the overall JDDO program and specifically with JDSMO
  • Develops and implements targeted marketing and sales initiatives
  • Manages after sale support activities, to ensure success and maintain dealer relationships
  • Initiates activities/events to facilitate dealer relationships that forge a long-term dealer alliance
  • Conduct discovery conversations with dealer, to position our solution to meet dealer’s business needs.
  • Conduct live product demonstrations
  • Be willing to travel within the US & Canada up to 75% of time for sales, events, and demonstration activities

What Skills You Need

 

  • Knowledge of Sales and Marketing processes in a dealer environment
  • Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution
  • Knowledge of products and services offered by the appropriate area of responsibility
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and/or tasks
  • Successful negotiating and selling skills
  • Demonstrated sales and marketing skills
  • Ability to understand software products and the purpose and goals they drive
  • Be willing to travel within the US & Canada up to 75% of time for sales, events, and demonstration activities  

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales and Marketing
  • Previous examples of promoting and demonstrating a software product to an audience/stakeholder to gain alignment and/or adoption of that product
  • Previous Sales & CRM Experience
  • Previous Microsoft Sales/CRM experience
  • Past Equipment Dealer sales or sales process experience

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Business/Management or Marketing/Sales discipline or equivalent related work experience
