Your Responsibilities

 

As a Hardware Product Verification and Validation Engineer for Intelligent Solutions Group - ES, located in Fargo, North Dakota, you will….

 

  • Gather and format test requirements from internal and external customers with assistance from others.  Review and provide proper feedback about the requirements to stakeholders or cross functional design teams.
  • Create Hardware Test Plans, with assistance from others, based on product requirements, test standards, and testing best practices.
  • Perform with assistance, Product Verification and Validation testing, internally or externally, and support troubleshooting problems associated with testing.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of testing results and up to date schedules of current and future testing, communicating results and schedule progress to stakeholders.
  • Review test results, draw conclusions, and compose technical reports based on findings and results of testing.
  • Collaborate with other project team members as needed to ensure the testing is performed as specified in the product specifications.

What Skills You Need

 

  • 1 or more years product testing of electronics or product development experience
  • 1 or more years project management experience
  • 1 or more  years work experience in a team environment
  • 1 or more years experience with data acquisition and validation tools
  • Good written and verbal communications skills (English)

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • Experience with product testing or design of ruggedized electronics.
  • Experience working with VC-B1 or VC-B2 voltage levels
  • Experience with development and debugging tools (e.g. oscilloscopes, multi-meters, etc.)
  • Knowledge of reliability planning for electronic assemblies.  
  • Experience with basic electronics hardware and systems (i.e. Op Amp, FET’s, Transistors, A/D converters, serial and parallel interfaces, etc.)
  • Experience in LabVIEW or other NI programming languages
  • Experience with communication networks (e.g. CAN, Ethernet, RS-232/485, etc.)
  • Experience with communication protocols (e.g. J1939, ISO11783, TCP/IP, etc.)
  • Experience working in an ISO 17025 accredited test lab.  

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering from an accredited engineering program
