Your Responsibilities
As a Supplier Quality Engineer for JD ISG located in Fargo,ND, you will be:
- Works closely with external suppliers to ensure that products designed and manufactured for John Deere meet established quality levels using proven quality controls and quality assurance methods and tools.
- Facilitate Design, Process, and Assembly Reviews with suppliers to ensure components received meet internal and external quality standards.
- Responsible for component quality planning and analysis by formulating/facilitating quality plans for new or updated components within product development, and production.
- Investigate supplier quality issues to determine root cause. Collects and analyze data to implement corrective, and preventative action to reduce/eliminate non-conformances.
- Perform supplier assessments.
- Lead supplier improvement programs.
- Lead and/or coordinate containment activities due to non-conforming supplied components.

What Skills You Need
- Excellent communication skills: must be capable of communicating with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers, and customers in an effective manner.
- Experience with drawing and schematic interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, and applicable industry standards.
- Knowledge of standard quality tools, such as FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, 8D Methodology, Root Cause Analysis, and MSA.
- Five years working in an electronics manufacturing environment.
- Three years of experience leading Design, Process, and Assembly Reviews with suppliers.
What Makes You Standout
- Quality Management System experience.
- Ability to facilitate activities at supplier sites to coach, teach, and lead all supplier personnel to successfully execute and accomplish the deliverables defined in the process improvement charter.
- Ability to communicate project updates and all improvements achieved by the supplier to Deere Supply Management leadership and personnel to maintain a positive and productive relationship with the supplier.
- Certified to lead supplier audits, such as, JDS-G223, Process Verification Audits, or Special Process Audits.
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering.
