Your Responsibilities

 

As a Test Design Engineer for JD Intelligent Solutions Group located in Fargo, ND, you will...

 

  • Design new and enhance existing test systems for robust electronics intended for on/off road vehicles and harsh environments. 
  • Perform requirements capture, analysis, design, programming, debugging, hardware integration and verification. 
  • It requires system architectural development, complex hardware/software design and analysis, coding, schematic development, and complex troubleshooting of test systems. 
  • The systems will include analog / digital electronics, software operating systems, advanced control theory / methods, hydraulic control, pneumatic control, electric motor control and displays / instrumentation.

What Skills You Need

 

  • 2 or more years of experience in LabVIEW or other NI programming languages
  • 2 or more years of experience with basic controls, and Data Acquisition (DAQ) systems 
  • 2 or more years of technical experience using and understanding electronic schematics and hardware analysis software

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • 1 or more years of experience in software development (C, C++, XML, Python, etc.)
  • Experience with communication protocols (i.e. CAN, FlexRay, Ethernet, USB, etc.)
  • MathCAD, OrCAD, PSpice experience
  • J1939 / ISO11783 experience
  • Experience with basic machine control

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering from an accredited engineering program or equivalent experience.
