Your Responsibilities

Product Engineer - Software Systems for John Deere Precision Turf located in Fuquay-Varina, NC, you will:

Help contribute to the development of Precision Turf solutions in a fast-paced, collaborative team setting. Your responsibilities will include: 

• Design and develop software applications, control systems, and test simulations  

• Integrate tech stack hardware and software into Golf and Commercial Mowing solutions.

What Skills You Need

 

  • Demonstrated technical problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working in a team environment.
  • Skilled in writing and reviewing software requirements to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with system objectives.
  • Proven experience in developing embedded applications using C/C++ and MATLAB Simulink.
  • Knowledge and experience in applying control theory to real-world applications.
  • Experience with continuous integration development and automated build tools
  • Experience with software version control such as Git
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple streams of work

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • Experience relating to the design/diagnostics of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with control systems design and analysis on turf applications
  • Experience with model-based software development tools
  • Knowledge of electronic circuits and components with the ability to read schematics and data sheets
  • Experience with embedded systems tools such as emulators, compilers, and simulators
  • Experience in automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet  

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Agricultural Engineering, Systems Engineering or equivalent work experience
