Main Responsabilities

  • This position will be working at the Enterprise Technology Engineering Center (ETEC), assigned to a design team, performing the following activities:
  • 3D modeling of electrical harnesses and cables according to design guidelines and standards, interacting with other functional areas such as PV&V, Supply Management, Manufacturing, Quality, Production, etc., verifying the interfaces and interferences to ensure the design constraints are understood and properly considered. 
  • Development of electrical schematics and topology plans according to internal and external standards.
  • Network communication specifications and strategies definition.
  • Make critical decisions for flexible component design and basic electrical engineering design on different EPDP programs.
  • Interaction with harness suppliers to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to some contract engineers and external engineering companies that are providing design support for the project.
  • Be involved in some decisions regarding chassis, engine, and other areas if those decisions affect the flexible component routings. Such decisions are discussed and agreed with the full or core engineering team for each program.

Education

  • B.S. Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineering, Digital Systems, or similar.
  • B.S. Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineering, Digital Systems, or similar.
