Junior Embedded Software Engineer - Indaiatuba/SP

About The Role

Main Responsabilities

• Create and maintain embedded systems and software projects from concept through integration, validation, release, and product support.

• Design and develop embedded software in C while utilizing AI-powered coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to enhance development speed, software quality, and engineering effectiveness.
• Develop and execute unit and integration test strategies in simulation, laboratory, and vehicle/machine environments to ensure robust and high-quality software delivery.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and drive the resolution of software defects discovered in laboratory and field environments, applying root cause analysis and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation.
• Validate software functionality in real-world operating environments, ensuring seamless integration with mechanical, electronic, and hydraulic product systems.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams across Brazil, the United States, Mexico, Germany, and India to integrate electronic systems with product development efforts and deliver high-quality agricultural equipment solutions.

• Stay close to customers and products through machine testing, field validation, and other hands-on product activities.

What Skills You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
• One or more years of proven experience in software engineering, gained through professional work, internships, academic projects, or other university-related activities.
• Experience working on technical projects, delivering major product features, or contributing to engineering teams.
• Experience in systems engineering, including requirements, architecture, interfaces, integration, and verification.
• Hands-on troubleshooting experience involving software, hardware, systems, and test environments.
• Strong communication skills, advanced English proficiency, and effective collaboration with global and cross-functional teams.
• Ability and willingness to learn quickly and work beyond your current area of expertise.

What Makes You Stand Out

• Experience with C++, Python, RTOS, Linux, model-based development (MBD), or embedded communication technologies such as CAN, ISOBUS, Ethernet, or Bluetooth.
• Knowledge of ASPICE, V-Model, functional safety, ISO 25119, CI/CD, test automation, or requirements traceability.
• Practical experience using AI assistants, automation, or agent-based engineering workflows.
• Hands-on experience with electronics debugging, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems, machine testing, or field validation.
