About The Role

As a Junior Software Engineer based at our John Deere Regional Office in Indaiatuba, SP, you will contribute to the development and modernization of global Procurement solutions integrated with SAP MM. In this role, you will build modern front-end applications, work with cloud technologies, and help deliver business-critical systems used by teams around the world. Working closely with cross-functional partners, you will have the opportunity to expand your expertise and modern software engineering practices while creating digital experiences that drive business value and operational excellence.

Main Responsabilities

  • Develop modern and intuitive Front-End applications.
  • Contribute to global Procurement solutions integrated with the SAP MM ecosystem.
  • Build solutions with a strong focus on customer experience, usability, quality, and maintainability.
  • Work with AWS and Cloud technologies to support modern application architectures.
  • Integrate Front-End applications with APIs and enterprise services.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and business partners to transform customer needs into digital experiences.
  • Learn and apply modern software engineering practices, including code reviews, testing, version control, and continuous integration.
  • Participate in the evolution and modernization of our Procurement application landscape.
  • Explore new technologies and continuously bring fresh ideas to the team.

 

What Skills You Need

  • Bachelor's degree completed or in progress in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript development.
  • Experience with React.
  • Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Understanding of front-end development concepts and best practices.
  • Knowledge of REST APIs and integration concepts.
  • Experience using Git and GitHub for source code management.
  • Basic understanding of AWS and cloud computing concepts.
  • Knowledge of software development fundamentals and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Understanding of responsive web design principles.
  • Intermediate English proficiency.
  • Strong learning agility and willingness to adopt new technologies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment with a customer-focused mindset.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Knowledge of SAP MM business processes and procurement solutions.
  • Experience with SAP technologies, including SAP BTP, SAP CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model), and SAP RAP (RESTful Application Programming Model).
  • Experience with ABAP Objects (ABAP OO).
  • Knowledge of OData services and API development and integration.
  • Experience with Node.js development.
  • Understanding of cloud-native application development principles.
  • Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and quality assurance practices.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and DevOps methodologies.
  • Understanding of UX/UI principles and user-centered design.
  • Passion for learning new technologies and contributing to application modernization initiatives.
