Platform Engineer SR - Indaiatuba/SP

As a Senior Platform Engineer at John Deere, based in the Indaiatuba/SP unit, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of application infrastructure and implementing monitoring and performance analysis solutions; and promoting good development practices.

Main Responsibilities

• Strong knowlege design, development, and maintenance of application infrastructure using tools such as GitHub, Grafana, JFrog, Docker, GitHub Actions, and Kubernetes;
• Design and implement scalable and highly available distributed system architectures, serving as a technical reference for the team;
• Collaborate in the use of cloud services, especially AWS, for the development and implementation of solutions;
• Assist in the implementation and management of CI/CD pipelines, optimizing the software delivery process;
• Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to manage and provision infrastructure efficiently and repeatably;
• Participate in the implementation of observability and monitoring practices for performance analysis; 
• Work closely with the team to promote good development practices, innovation, and continuous team evolution.

What Skills You Need

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Systems Analysis and Development, or equivalent fields; 
• Advanced English (broad vocabulary, good grammar, conducts meetings, argues, negotiates, and provides training);
• Experience in tools and technologies such as GitHub, Grafana, JFrog, Docker, GitHub Actions, and Kubernetes; 
• Experience of serverless solutions within the cloud ecosystem;
• Experience in software testing practices, including unit, e2e, and integration tests; 
• Experience with CI/CD tools;
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC); 
• Experience of observability and monitoring;
• Experience with Linux and Bash scripts, Python, Golang, Javascript.
