Senior Software Engineer - Indaiatuba/SP

As a Senior Software Engineer for John Deere located in Brazil, Indiatuba, you will  be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing SAP ABAP solutions to enhance and optimize business processes within the organization and In the Parts Division. This role plays a crucial role in supporting the SAP CRM and ECC Parts landscapes, ensuring that the systems are robust, efficient, and aligned with the strategic goals of the organization. We have implemented a suite of SAP solutions that includes SAP CRM, SAP ECC, SAP EWM to support warehouse functionalities across the globe. 

John Deere is a global agricultural company and has multiple businesses across the globe. Some of these business areas are Tractor and Harvester Manufacturing, Construction Equipment, Turf Equipment, Sales Parts, and more. This position is to support the John Deere Parts Business in Latin America (Brazil, Argentina, Mexico).

Principais Responsabilidades

• Design and Development:
• Develop and maintain ABAP programs, reports, forms, and interfaces based on functional specifications.
• Create and optimize custom enhancements and modifications to the SAP environment.
• Implement and maintain SAP ECC, SAP CRM, SAP Fiori, SAP BTP, SAP CPI applications as required.
• Collaborate with other developers and functional teams to integrate SAP with other systems and applications.
• Utilize middleware tools to exchange data between SAP and external systems.
• Analyze and optimize existing ABAP code for performance and efficiency.
• Perform code reviews and provide guidance to junior developers.
• Provide technical support for SAP applications by effectively diagnosing and resolving issues.
• Participate in system upgrades and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for all developed solutions.
• Create user manuals and technical documentation to assist end users and other developers.
• Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and end users to gather requirements and provide updates on development progress.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to project planning and strategic discussions.
• Ensure that all developments adhere to engineering principles, SAP best practices, security standards, and organizational policies.

Habilidades Que Você Precisa

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field;
• Advanced English: broad vocabulary, good grammar, conducts meetings, argues, negotiates and provides training;
• Proficiency in the ABAP programming language, including knowledge of OO ABAP, ALV Reports, BAPIs, BADIs, BTEs, User Exits, and Enhancement Spots;
• Experience with OO ALV ABAP, ABAP OO, SAP ALE/IDOC's/Proxies/Webservices, BODS, OData NW Gateway, REST, SAP Smart Forms, Adobe forms;
• Experience in improvements in areas such as: CI/CD pipelines, Test Driving Development (TDD), Pair Programming, Automated Testing, Evolutionary Design, DevOps and others;
• Proven track record of successful project delivery in an SAP environment;
• Experience with integration monitoring;
• Experience with debugging remote functions across multiple scenarios;
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex technical issues;
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications;
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management principles;
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively;
• Active learner, stay up to date on new SAP technologies and methodologies to recommend best practices.

O Que Faz Destacar

• Intermediate Spanish: reads and writes emails independently, participates in calls and meetings;
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and Fiori;
• Familiarity with SAP development tools such as Eclipse, SAP BAS, ABAP RAP/CAP. SAP HANA;
• Familiarity with SAP modules (e.g. SD/FI/WM/MM/CRM and Pricing) and their integration points;
• SAP certification in ABAP or relevant SAP modules;
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders;
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
