Your Position:

As a Senior Software Engineer at John Deere in Indaiatuba/SP, in our Labor Relations Solutions team, you will have the opportunity to work across global applications within the IT LR product portfolio. You will sustain and enhance a diverse set of applications, own processes and servers, serve as a senior technical reference for the team, implement global solutions while supporting local business needs, and coach other team members on technical topics.

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Work closely with the Engineering Manager, Delivery Lead, Product Manager, and Software Engineers to develop complex solutions that meet business requirements;
  • Lead, mentor and support the growth of a diverse team, fostering learning, collaboration, and technical excellence;
  • Manage multiple products, initiatives, and projects simultaneously, adapting to changing priorities and requirements;
  • Follow industry‑standard agile software design methodologies for development and documentation;
  • Support your colleagues and team members by working collaboratively and sharing knowledge through pair‑programming and code review sessions.

Skills You Need

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent fields; 
  • Advanced English (broad vocabulary, strong grammar, able to lead meetings, argue, negotiate, and conduct training sessions); 
  • Extensive experience as a Software Engineer, demonstrating a proven track record in the field;
  • Proficiency in Java and Python development;
  • Strong technical expertise in JavaScript and modern frameworks such as Node.js, React, or similar technologies;
  • Solid experience working with cloud platforms (AWS preferred);
  • Solid experience managing and querying databases (SQL syntax; SQL Server, Oracle DB, MySQL, and/or PostgreSQL).
  • Solid experience operating within high-performing Agile teams;
  • Availability to work in a hybrid model, 3 times a week, in Indaiatuba/SP.

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • Solid experience working with Data Lake, DevOps, and/or CI/CD pipelines;
  • Solid experience integrating systems and designing and coding APIs;
  • Solid experience with modern JavaScript libraries ( Angular, Bootstrap, etc.);
  • Solid experience with automation and data analytics;
  • Solid experience with automated tests, complex pipelines, and best programming practices.
