  • This is a mid-career position as a staff software engineer working a product team; supporting product design through planning, writing, and testing code to deliver functionality along with mentoring software engineers.
  • Be passionate about quality and technical engineering practices such as TDD and CI/CD and have foundational experience with object-oriented design patterns.
  • Collaborate with multiple business stakeholders to provide information technology solutions

What Skills You Need

 

  • 5 or more years of experience with building full stack web applications/services.design, development, testing and integration of high complexity software solutions
  • 5 or more years of experience leading technical design on a team developing software leveraging Agile delivery methodologies.
  • 4 or more years of Payment Card Industry Experience
  • 4 or more years of experience designing and implementing JavaScript UI applications with React.js
  • 4 or more years of experience building RESTful web services with Node JS and TypeScript
  • 4 or more years of experience working with SQL/NoSQL DBMSs
  • 4 or more years of experience leveraging AWS services (ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, Dynamo DB SQS, SNS, etc.)
  • 2 or more years of mentoring software engineers

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • Payment Card E-Commerce or Point of Sale experience
  • Experience working in a PCI Compliant Environment
  • Prior financial services/fintech experience
  • Prior experience developing and/or integrating with digital purchase/payment solutions such as Stripe, PayPal, etc.
  • Prior experiences leading teams to produce remarkable outcomes.
  • Experience using containers and orchestrators to build, deploy, and operate applications (e.g., Docker, ECS, Kubernetes)       
  • Experience using and managing Continuous Integration tools, particularly Jenkins, and GitHub
  • AWS certifications

Education

 

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or Engineering
