Salary range for this role: $73404-$110100 CAD.

Your Responsibilities

 

Located in the heart of the British Columbia's pacific northwest forestry region, John Deere Specialty Products produces forestry equipment with a focus on forestry swing machines. In late 2024, they will begin to produce tracked harvesters and tracked feller bunchers.  As a Facility Engineer for John Deere Specialty Products located in Langley, BC., you will be responsible for the continuous improvement of the mechanical systems for the Tracked Forestry Machines. You will be a part of a global product engineering team and work in a cross-functional team environment. In addition, you will:

 

  • Provides project management of projects related to the facility infrastructure, production equipment and processes that support the manufacturing operation.
  • Manage and oversee maintenance of all building, infrastructure & grounds systems.
  • Lead safety program management for key programs such as contractor safety, Lock-out/Tag-out, crane maintenance
  • Develop and maintain factory layouts

What Skills You Need

 

  • Background in engineering (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics)
  • Experience with building management systems
  • Preventive maintenance experience
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)

  • Knowledge of safety, & environmental laws & regulations
  • Skill in using computer aided design &/or engineering tools
  • Good communication skills, written & oral

Education

 

Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience.  University degree (4 years or equivalent).
