Our Luxembourg German retail operations team is looking for a:

 

Senior Collections Specialist

 

In this role you will manage large delinquent accounts, which includes the evaluation and analysis necessary to restructure payment arrangements to bring accounts current. You will be responsible to determine appropriate actions to recover the debts. You will have to interact and maintain constructive relationship with different stakeholders such as debtors, legal counsels, our dealers, sales branch and asset management to seek resolution of these accounts.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Processing/Terminating contracts including the realization of securities and, if necessary, the enforcement of residual claims;
  • Minimize losses through finance restructuring recommendation where appropriate or effective repossession of assets;
  • In case of restructuring of current finance agreements, manage the necessary negotiations with borrowers and their representatives;
  • Manage all stages of collection process: negotiate payment of over dues, processing and calculation of interests in case of changes in installment plans and oversee settlement of delinquency files;
  • Determine whether litigated and default accounts are managed internally or assigned to outside counsel or agencies and prepare paperwork accordingly;
  • Maintain service excellent with our customers by finding personalized, appropriate and sustainable solutions for their requests and business;
  • Keep track of risk parameters, identifying any deviations and reporting them to more senior colleagues;
  • Data Management including preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly reports and relevant KPIs on insolvency, risk management & parameters, identification of any deviations and non-compliant cases, handle audit requests;
  • Keep contact with your peers in other countries (UK, Spain and Poland) to develop a global approach and share best practices on collections processes.

 

What It Takes:

  • Economic/Commercial/Legal or accounting education with focus on banking or leasing, with several years of experience in receivable management or dunning enforcement
  • Sound legal knowledge would be an advantage, especially in insolvency law
  • Computer literate (Microsoft office, namely Excel)
  • Mother tongue German and fluent in English
  • High level of resilience, self-motivation and good negotiation skills. You value the ability to independently maintain customer relationships and have excellent communication skills
  • High level of commitment and team orientation
  • Conscientious, detail oriented and accurate
  • Ability to have a pragmatic approach on complex tasks as well as extensive analysis
  • Be enthusiastic with a positive attitude
