Shipping Coordinator- Off Shift

Your Responsibilities

As a Shipping Coordinator for John Deere Parts Distribution Center located in Milan, IL, you will prepare moderately complex documents using a variety of applications for technology devices such as standard office software. Also responsible for gathering and summarizing data for reports. In addition, you will:

• Produce accurate reports for others by collecting data from a variety of standard sources and inputting it into standard formats. 
• Produce, update and provide best practice support on a wide range of MS documents, databases and other departmental systems to support the work of more senior colleagues. 
• Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards. Obtain authorization from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure. 
• Develop and maintain excellent process or technical skills by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching.

What Skills You Need

• 3 or more years of experience warehousing experience with materials management, transportation, shipping and receiving. 
• Uses clear and effective verbal communications skills without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on expressing ideas, requesting actions and formulating plans or policies. 
• Supports business processes without supervision by understanding and effectively using standard office equipment and standard software packages, while providing technical guidance as needed. 
• Works under guidance (but not constant supervision) to analyze data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making. 
• Understanding of employee policies, practices, procedures, and work rules appropriate for the unit.  
• Experience leading issue resolution amongst a cross-functional team. 
• Ability to work weekends/overtime as needed to support production. 
• Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift based on business needs.

Education
