Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position
This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.
Responsibilities
As the Warehouse Automation Manager for John Deere's North American Parts Distribution Center in Milan, IL, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of an enterprise-wide warehouse automation technology strategy across multiple sites.
You will also be accountable for defining and documenting near and long-term automation vision for Aftermarket and Customer Service (A&CS), creating a leadership-ready roadmap, and leveraging data and small-scale pilots to continually drive refinements. In addition, you will work cross-functionally to create compelling capital requests and oversee the physical configuration of automation solutions for existing and future warehouses.
You will also be involved with:
- Developing and executing a far-reaching warehouse automation technology strategy across multiple sites
- Selecting and deploying warehouse automation technologies, including crane ASRS, bot-and-grid systems, and AGVs
- Defining the overall automation strategy and providing higher-level support of the automation
- Commissioning large-scale equipment installations and creating training and maintenance programs for sustained operations

What Skills You Need
- 10+ years of expertise with integrating goods-to-person technologies into distribution centers
- Warehouse automation experience
- 5+ years of people management experience
- A track record of managing technology roadmaps for more than 5 years
What Makes You Stand Out
- Warehouse operations management experience
- Familiarity with installing with unit-load crane ASRS, bot-and-grid systems, VLM, and AGVs
- Knowledge of aftermarket parts or heavy machinery distribution
- Experience working within an SAP/EWM WMS environment
- MBA
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent related warehouse automation implementation experience
