Your Responsibilities

 

As a Software Engineer for Deere & Company World Headquarters located in Moline, IL you will;

 

  • Participate in an agile scrum team that follows industry-standard agile software design methodology that provides development and technical support for Finance Cobol applications and interfaces that support the WW Parts business.      
  • Work closely with product managers to understand requirements and priorities.        
  • Perform development and implementation of technical solutions to deliver on User Stories providing value to our customers.
  • Assist in resolution of IT technical issues in the product team collaborating with team members and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business needs.

What Skills You Need

 

  • 5 or more years of experience in the design, development, testing and integration of high complex software solutions in Cobol development leveraging change management            
  • 5 or more years of understanding of mainframe applications development environment, databases, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints
  • 3 or more years of experience in several of these Cobol based systems and databases: Cobol, JCL, ESP, SQL, MQ, IMS, DB2

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team environment.
  • Knowledge of John Deere mainframe environment                 
  • Capable of collaborating with multiple business stakeholders to provide information technology solutions.       
  • Skilled in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution      
  • Proven experience working in a team environment.  

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: 

 

  • Degree in IT/Computer Science/Engineering discipline or equivalent experience - University Degree (4 years or equivalent)
