Your Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer for Deere & Company World Headquarters located in Moline, IL you will;
- Participate in an agile scrum team that follows industry-standard agile software design methodology that provides development and technical support for Finance Cobol applications and interfaces that support the WW Parts business.
- Work closely with product managers to understand requirements and priorities.
- Perform development and implementation of technical solutions to deliver on User Stories providing value to our customers.
- Assist in resolution of IT technical issues in the product team collaborating with team members and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business needs.

What Skills You Need
- 5 or more years of experience in the design, development, testing and integration of high complex software solutions in Cobol development leveraging change management
- 5 or more years of understanding of mainframe applications development environment, databases, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints
- 3 or more years of experience in several of these Cobol based systems and databases: Cobol, JCL, ESP, SQL, MQ, IMS, DB2
What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team environment.
- Knowledge of John Deere mainframe environment
- Capable of collaborating with multiple business stakeholders to provide information technology solutions.
- Skilled in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution
- Proven experience working in a team environment.
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Degree in IT/Computer Science/Engineering discipline or equivalent experience - University Degree (4 years or equivalent)
