Your Responsibilities

 

As a Sr. Manager, Corporate and Executive Communications for Deere & Company World Headquarters located in Moline, IL, or Chicago, IL, or Des Moines, IA  you will:

 

 

  • Develop high-quality communications for the CEO and other senior executives, including speeches, talking points, emails, press releases, presentations, annual reports, video scripts, and social media content.
  • Support the creation and execution of comprehensive communication plans that advance John Deere’s strategic priorities and business objectives and position executives effectively with key audiences.
  • Design and implement a targeted CEO LinkedIn strategy.
  • Create communications that enable key stakeholders to understand the organization’s performance and strategic direction, such as company overviews, quarterly earnings materials, annual reports, proxy statements, and annual shareholder meeting documents.
  • Develop communication strategies and programs aimed at enhancing the business acumen of employees and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to produce enterprise narratives and key messages, ensuring these are consistently refined to reflect business and strategic updates and communicated across the organization.
  • Oversee the management and preparation of executive organizational announcements and biographies, maintaining current and accurate related content on internal and external channels.
  • Oversee Deere's internal Communications Portal to ensure all information and tools remain relevant and up to date.
  • Partner with Communications team members to maintain a rolling calendar of executive communications events and activities to promote alignment and coordinated messaging.
  • Establish and document shared processes, resources, assets, tools, and best practices.
  • Measure the effectiveness of communication strategies and approaches.

  • Ability to translate strategic business priorities into thoughtful, consumable content for multiple audience segments. 
  • Capable of conveying complex messages to support organizational change and transformation. 
  • Entrepreneurial, collaborative style, with an emphasis on action and impact. 
  • Demonstrated strength in writing and project management, delivering high-quality communications on time, and with strong attention to detail. 
  • Possesses solid business and financial acumen, allowing for effective alignment of communication initiatives with organizational objectives. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to comfortably engage with all levels of the organization.

Education

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: 

  

  • Bachelor's degree in communication or journalism. 
  • MBA preferred.
