Your Responsibilities
As a Supply Base Manager, Software for John Deere World Headquarters located in Moline, IL, you will lead development and execution of Global IT Manufacturing and Aftermarket & Customer Support software sourcing strategies. In addition, you will:
- Lead contractual negotiations as strategies are developed and as work is procured throughout contract lifecycles.
- Manage large standalone Global IT sourcing projects in excess of 3 million USD.
- Develop and lead supplier performance improvement plans.
- Lead the John Deere Achieving Excellence and Value Chain Relationship process to effectively manage supplier performance.

What Skills You Need
- 5 or more years of experience in Supply Management or working directly with Supply Management.
- 5 or more years of experience in a role that required excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills.
- 3 or more years of experience identifying new opportunities to create efficiencies and drive value creation.
- 3 or more years of experience in managing large, complex projects in excess of 5 million USD, including projects across multiple business units, global projects and projects with high financial impact.
- 3 or more years of experience analyzing information to make strategic decisions.
- 3 or more years of international business experience.
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority.
- Ability and willingness to travel 25% domestically and internationally, based on business needs.
What Makes You Stand Out
- Demonstrated understanding of commercial and legal aspects of indirect purchasing.
- Experience negotiating and managing software contracts.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex supplier relationships.
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering/Technology, or Accounting/Finance discipline or equivalent experience.
