Main Responsabilities
- Plan, design, implement and evaluate environmental management systems & programs and processes to promote an environment and ensure compliance with John Deere standards and appropriate laws and regulations at a manufacturing facility. In addition, this position:
- Prepares strategic and tactical plans as required to meet company goals around environmental compliance and ISO 14001 environmental management system
- Analyze appropriate environmental metrics to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement
- Establish environmental training for all employees
- Review new products, equipment, processes, and facilities, making recommendations, if necessary, prior to introduction
- Act as a liaison with third party administrators, other external support
- Ensure thorough investigations of environmental incidents and ensure appropriate documentation is completed. Manage corrective action and preventative action processes
- Develop and manage the budget and required resources.
What Skills You Need
- 1 or more years of experience in Environmental in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Knowledge of Environmental governmental/agency regulatory requirements and Environmental programs with the ability to apply to workplace environments
- Analytical and investigation skills to determine root cause and conduct trend analysis of incidents
- Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution
- Knowledge of environmental permitting
- Knowledge of ISO14001 management system
- Ability to work in different production shifts based on business needs
- Ability to use MS Office 365
What Makes You Stand Out
- Knowledge of developing and facilitating environmental training
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and factory operations.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in science, Engineering/Technology, or Environmental discipline.
Candidates must have the necessary work permits to work in the country.
