Main Responsabilities

  • Plan, design, implement and evaluate environmental management systems & programs and processes to promote an environment and ensure compliance with John Deere standards and appropriate laws and regulations at a manufacturing facility. In addition, this position:
  • Prepares strategic and tactical plans as required to meet company goals around environmental compliance and ISO 14001 environmental management system
  • Analyze appropriate environmental metrics to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Establish environmental training for all employees
  • Review new products, equipment, processes, and facilities, making recommendations, if necessary, prior to introduction
  • Act as a liaison with third party administrators, other external support
  • Ensure thorough investigations of environmental incidents and ensure appropriate documentation is completed. Manage corrective action and preventative action processes
  • Develop and manage the budget and required resources.

What Skills You Need

  • 1 or more years of experience in Environmental in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Knowledge of Environmental governmental/agency regulatory requirements and Environmental programs with the ability to apply to workplace environments
  • Analytical and investigation skills to determine root cause and conduct trend analysis of incidents
  • Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution
  • Knowledge of environmental permitting
  • Knowledge of ISO14001 management system
  • Ability to work in different production shifts based on business needs
  • Ability to use MS Office 365

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Knowledge of developing and facilitating environmental training
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and factory operations.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, Engineering/Technology, or Environmental discipline.
