Function: Factory Engineering (CA)

Main Responsibilites:
- Establishes routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts or programs of moderate scope.
- Provides support and trouble shooting for current operations. Investigates, gathers and analyze data and implement solutions.
- Innovates and implements cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of moderate scope.
- Develops and implements plans to support lean manufacturing through the Deere Production System of moderate scope. Designs operations layouts. Improves material flow and material presentation.
- Leads team studies related to capacity, energy, productivity and efficiency of moderate scope.
- Leads analysis, development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology.
What Skills You Need:
- Working knowledge of database management tools, the various loan accounting systems, and process management systems.
- Background in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, power systems, etc.).
- Skill in using computer aided design and/or engineering tools.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance and facilities.
- Understands the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP).
- Line design definition.
- Knowledge in assembly operations.
- Electrical testers development.
- Final test development.

- Knowledge of the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP), Enterprise Technology Development process (ETDP) and/or Enterprise Customer Acquisition Process (ECAP).
Education:
- Engineering experience. (4 - 7 years)
- Experience in one or more related engineering areas: industrial, production, methods, reliability, design, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, quality. (2 - 4 years)
- Technical experience relating to design/diagnostics of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems. (1 - 3 years)
- Experience in planning, organizing, and implementing engineering projects. (Less than 1 year)
- Experience with engineering tools, systems and databases. (2 - 4 years)
