Title: ME (OFP) Assy - Ramos Arizpe 
Primary Location: Mexico (MX) - Coahuila JD Shared Svcs-Ramos Component 
Function: Factory Engineering (CA)

Main Responsibilites:

  • Establishes routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts or programs of moderate scope.
  • Provides support and trouble shooting for current operations. Investigates, gathers and analyze data and implement solutions.
  • Innovates and implements cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of moderate scope.
  • Develops and implements plans to support lean manufacturing through the Deere Production System of moderate scope. Designs operations layouts. Improves material flow and material presentation.
  • Leads team studies related to capacity, energy, productivity and efficiency of moderate scope.
  • Leads analysis, development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology.

What Skills You Need:

  • Working knowledge of database management tools, the various loan accounting systems, and process management systems.
  • Background in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, power systems, etc.).
  • Skill in using computer aided design and/or engineering tools.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance and facilities.
  • Understands the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP).
  • Line design definition.
  • Knowledge in assembly operations.
  • Electrical testers development.
  • Final test development.

  • Knowledge of the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP), Enterprise Technology Development process (ETDP) and/or Enterprise Customer Acquisition Process (ECAP).


  • Engineering experience. (4 - 7 years)
  • Experience in one or more related engineering areas: industrial, production, methods, reliability, design, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, quality. (2 - 4 years)
  • Technical experience relating to design/diagnostics of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems. (1 - 3 years)
  • Experience in planning, organizing, and implementing engineering projects. (Less than 1 year)
  • Experience with engineering tools, systems and databases. (2 - 4 years)
