Your Responsibilities

 

As a Manufacturing Engineer - Assembly for John Deere Reman located in Springfield, MO, you will...

 

  • Use lean manufacturing principles to develop assembly processes, line design, and factory layouts.
  • Utilize design, tooling, and advanced technologies to integrate mistake-proofing into our parts and methods.
  • Use SAP to develop part parameters and routings.
  • Create AFE capital estimates for tooling, equipment, facilities, and estimates. Support AFE labor estimates by developing accurate part routings and labor estimates.
  • Conceptualize and procure assembly tooling and lifting devices for products in Final Drives, Fuel Pumps and Hydraulic Pump and Motors.
  • Communicate issues and verify safety and ergonomic methods.

What Skills You Need

 

  • 3 or more years of manufacturing/shop floor experience
  • 3 or more years of experience with problem-solving and working in a team environment.
  • Ability to effectively interact and communicate with wage employees, supervisors, managers, and other engineers.
  • Self-motivator with the ability to learn and execute various tasks with limited supervision. 
  • 2 or more years of experience managing medium scale capital projects.

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • Experience with AMES and SAP
  • Experience with engineering tools (AUTOCAD, CREO, ProE, Solidworks, etc)
  • Adaptability to changing business conditions while delivering results.
  • Understanding of Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP).
  • Experience with tooling design.
  • Experience with shop floor manufacturing, incentive pay systems, and work measurement.
  • Experience with line design, material presentation, cycle balancing.

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  •  Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Technology discipline
