Your Responsibilities

 

As a Quality Manager for John Deere Reman located in Springfield, MO, you will….

 

  • Oversee the continuous improvement process to ensure the implementation of key corrective actions and projects aimed at achieving targeted warranty reduction goals.
  • Provide coaching, training, and mentoring to a team of Quality Engineers and Inspectors to ensure the resolution of critical issues.
  • Serve as the Quality Lead for the PLMTs, ensuring that all elements of building a quality product are considered in alignment with strategic ambitions.
  • Actively participate in meetings that highlight process and product opportunities, engaging with all relevant stakeholders (DTAC, QITs, etc.).
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to develop and implement corrective actions and preventive measures.
  • Prepare and present reports on quality performance to management, including recommendations for improvements.
  • Address customer complaints related to product quality, coordinating with relevant departments to resolve issues promptly.
  • Facilitate presentations to dealers and customers to showcase the key initiatives John Deere Reman is implementing to continuously improve the business.
  • Identify shortcomings and suggest improvements to existing processes, systems, and procedures, then deliver a plan for change and implementation of the plan.

What Skills You Need

 

  • 3+ years of experience in quality/manufacturing/product engineering, product development or program management experience
  • 2+ years of leadership experience, whether informal or formal
  • 3+ years of experience with engines/drivetrain/engine components
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, tools, and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • Quality process and procedure knowledge, Supplier Quality PVA, G223, SPA, knowledge and other certifications are preferred.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification from ASQ
  • Supervisory experience of 5+ employees

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
