Your Responsibilities

 

As an Embedded Software Engineer at Sentera located in St. Paul, MN, you will:

 

  • Develop high-quality software for our drone-based remote sensing products.
  • Diagnose and resolve embedded system issues and continuously refine our development processes to deliver robust, high-performance solutions.

What Skills You Need

 

  • 3 or more years of experience in embedded software product development
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and Python
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, mechanical, marketing) to translate customer needs into software requirements and solutions
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills 

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • Experience designing scalable and reusable software architectures across multiple product lines
  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt to change, and continuously grow your skills
  • Passion for building innovative technical solutions that solve real customer problems
  • Experience developing applications on Linux
  • Familiarity with common peripheral interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, USB, CAN, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet)
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and experience building client/server software
  • Knowledge of digital image processing techniques 

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
