Your Responsibilities

 

 

As a Test Engineer for John Deere Coffeyville Works located in Coffeyville, KS, you will support testing and validation activities for innovative drivetrain solutions developed for John Deere vehicles.  Responsibilities may include:

 

  • Collaborate with engineers on test cell technology, data acquisition, and test automation controls
  • Develop and implement custom data acquisition and data processing systems that support efficient, automated test methods
  • Develop custom control systems that integrate engine, transmission, dynamometer, and test cell controllers to provide system level test capability
  • Collaborate with design engineers, test technicians and other stake holders to develop and execute test plans
  • Support test bay operations involved with test execution from a data acquisition and controls perspective

What Skills You Need

 

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills to analyze and solve technical problems, including troubleshooting software, electrical and/or mechanical issues
  • Basic knowledge, understanding, or awareness of drivetrain components/systems
  • Basic experience programming in LabView application

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • Experience with electrical hardware, software, and their interaction with mechanical systems
  • Experience with programming in LabView in real-time and/or Windows environments
  • Experience with programming in LabView for analog, digital, and CAN communication inputs and outputs
  • Experience with lab measurement devices and/or data acquisition systems
  • Understanding of engineering principles as they relate to drivetrain components
  • Software and/or coding experience through extra-curricular project team, hobby, previous work, or other
  • Experience with Creo, SolidWorks or other 3D modeling software

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Agricultural Engineering disciplines or related discipline(s).
