Your Responsibilities

As a Sr. Product Manager, Notifications for Intelligent Solutions Group Urbandale, you will:

 

In this dynamic role, you will guide John Deere’s strategy for developing and delivering impactful notifications to users of John Deere equipment and technology. You will be responsible for Notifications in John Deere Operations Center, enabling hundreds of thousands of mission-critical messages to customers each year; you will develop, enhance, and deliver value-focused operational updates to customers; and you will build the next generation of personalized AI-generated content based on intelligent triggers. This job is focused on ensuring high-value information gets in the right hands in a timely matter. You will work with enterprise teams across ISG, DA&CS, Customer Success, marketing, and in every production system to enable messages that create confidence and alerts that drive action.

 

Responsibilities Include:

 

  • Define and evolve a clear, compelling product vision for Operations Center Notifications and for the AI-powered Newsfeed
  • Build, maintain, and socialize the product roadmaps to align to customer outcomes around awareness and value generation and to internal business priorities.
  • Discover what’s next, clarify customer problems, and develop a unified messaging strategy that maximizes value customer gain from understanding events, information, opportunities in their operations.  
  • Facilitate a cross-functional product team with engineering, UX, and data science teams to deliver a cohesive, high-quality experience.
  • Collaborate across to manage and maintain approaches and improvements to the products while ensuring the purpose and need for using Notifications to drive Org-based communications is well understood.
  • Revise and maintain a system of classifying and maintaining customer messages and approach to governing user and org preferences for notification delivery.
  • Establish and monitor success metrics, using both qualitative insights and quantitative data to inform decisions
  • Continuously iterate through experimentation and user feedback to improve clarity, speed, and usefulness of the experience

What Skills You Need

  • 6 years of experience in digital/software product development.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Digital Product Manager working with engineering teams, designers, and customers to discover and craft highly usable experiences.
  • A track record building and delivering strategy that drives digital products from concept to market.
  • Demonstrated value resulting from managing and leading collaboratively across-products and across-functions.
  • Expert-level communication. You will communicate effectively with a team and to stakeholders. You will be a great storyteller about your product and ready to represent your products to internal and external audiences, large and small, in person, in writing, on video, and with supporting content.
  • Pending business needs, travel up to 50% 

 

 

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Examples, in production, of usable features you have delivered that make the complicated simple.
  • Experience working in customer-facing communications platforms across a varied audience.
  • Hands on experience or demonstrated understanding of the benefits and risks associated with generative AI in digital products.
  • Don't need to write code, but enough technical grounding to engage with Data Scientists and Software engineers to create solutions.
  • Experience crafting and then advancing product strategy in a complex organization. 

 

 

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field (e.g., Agriculture/Ag Tech, Construction or Heavy Equipment, User Experience, Software Engineering), or equivalent relevant work experience.
